RELIABILITY. THE RUUD DIFFERENCE |
|
1) INTEGRATED FURNACE CONTROL A solid state integrated furnace control board is the "brains" of the Achiever 90 Plus. A great feature of the integrated furnace control is an additional speed tap setting, that when selected, can automatically choose the most efficient blower speed when continuous air circulation is desired in the home. 2) DRAFT INDUCER When the integrated furnace control receives a call for heat, it activates the draft inducer motor. This draft inducer, which was specially designed for the Achiever 90 Plus furnace, quietly provides air for combustion while simultaneously venting outdoors the products of combustion from the furnace heat exchanger. 3) DIRECT SPARK IGNITION & REMOTE SENSOR Once the integrated furnace control acknowledges the operation of the draft inducer, the direct spark ignition takes place. After ignition, the remote sensor rod continuously monitors and proves the existence of a flame. 4) GAS VALVE AND MANIFOLD With the call for ignition, the integrated furnace control then opens the gas valve. The redundant gas valve is a 24 volt slow opening valve that delivers gas in a regulated flow to the in-shot burners. 5) IN-SHOT BURNERS The natural (or optional LP) gas is ignited by the direct spark ignition at the in-shot burners. The in-shot burner's shutter free design requires no adjustments to regulate the air / gas mixture.
Heat transfer occurs when the multi speed direct
drive blower forces cooler air from inside the house over the
furnace heat exchanger, extracting heat from the hot combustion
gasses and redistributing the warmer air back into your living
space. |
